Rose verbena (Glandularia canadensis)

Everyone is wowed by rose verbena’s nonstop, abundant blooms! From bees to gardeners, butterflies and hummingbirds, it’s impossible to resist the lovely deep pink flowers that just go on and on, from June to November. And that’s not all. In addition to being a very heavy bloomer and easy to grow, rose verbena isn’t susceptible to mildew, a disease that affects most verbenas.

Although it is very easy to grow and does well in different settings, rose verbena prefers cool, well-drained soil in full sun. It thrives in light or heavy soil if given a little compost to improve drainage. It tolerates dry spells once established. Rose verbena is easy to grow from seed.
